Above the café is the Meditation Centre where we hold regular lunchtime and evening meditation classes.
Meditation is suitable for everyone and brings many benefits that include improved concentration, a peaceful mind, a positive approach to difficulties and better relationships at work and home. |
There are currently 3 weekly classes being held
at the Ulverston World Peace Café. These
are:
- Stop the week Fridays 7.30pm
A guided meditation followed by a delicious three course meal
- Lunchtime meditation Tuesdays & Thursdays 12.30pm
- Evening meditation Thursdays 7.30pm
The classes are taught by teachers from Manjushri
Buddhist Centre, a college and retreat Centre based at Conishead Priory, Ulverston.

Relax and unwind at the end of a busy week in this peaceful setting of the World Peace Cafe.
You are invited to spend your Friday evenings in a very special way. The evening will begin with a short talk followed by a guided meditation where you can unwind and focus your mind. You can then enjoy a delicious three course vegetarian meal.

Lunchtime meditation
During
a busy day we can create some space and peace in our mind
by spending a bit of time meditating.
Meditation is a way of calming the mind so we
are able to remain peaceful and focused, regardless of what is happening
around us.
These lunchtime classes are the perfect opportunity
to learn meditation and include it as part of our daily routine
so we experience its many benefits.

Evening
meditation
These classes offer simple practical advice that
we can use to develop peaceful and positive minds. Each class consists
of guided meditations, teachings and discussion. They are suitable
for everyone, both beginners and those with more experience.
At present there is a class every thusday evening
during term time at the World Peace Café,
with guided meditations, a talk, discussion and refreshments.
